New PowerIsolator MM Offers More Performance
and Installation Flexibility
Transparent is pleased to announce the new PowerIsolator MM (PIMM). The PowerIsolator MM advances an important step beyond the ground breaking performance of Transparent's PowerIsolator XL. PIMM now occupies the top position in Transparent's innovative power conditioning and surge protection line-up. With its electrically superior chassis design, improved vibrational damping and isolation circuitry, attractive cosmetic presentation, and ease and flexibility in installations, the new PowerIsolator MM is a welcome addition to the best music and film systems.

PIMM plugs directly into a wall outlet and provides two 15-amp hospital grade outlets, so you can protect two components with one PIMM unit. PIMM has a detachable 2-meter PowerLink MM power cord that connects to a 20-amp IEC socket on the back of the unit; the other end plugs directly into a wall outlet.

Noise Isolation  PIMM is the first line of defense against line noise and grunge, and makes maximum use of what Transparent has learned in its research about power line noise contamination. Transparent's Isolator MM noise filtration circuit carries out two vital tasks: it removes noise, but it also enables power to pass in-phase your component, and it does not limit current. In-phase power is critical to your system keeping its natural tonal balance, and unlimited current allows your system to breathe dynamically and give you the full impact of musical events -- qualities of experience that most conditioners and filtration devices ignore. The PowerLink MM cord offers additional protection via its RF-noise inhibiting network.

Vibration Control  PIMM benefits substantially from Transparent's ongoing investigations into vibration control and raw materials: The internal components have an improved layout for better electrical isolation; the PIMM provides more vibration control through the materials used for chassis construction and internal damping; and the unit itself now sits on precision-machined isolation feet.

Surge protection  In addition to its superb noise filtration, the PowerIsolator MM also features the security of surge protection -- without any of the performance drawbacks normally associated with surge protectors. Only Transparent gives you peace of mind without compromising in any way the music or picture that your system produces. After extensive research, Transparent developed an avalanche-diode design that gives the ultimate in protection; this is offered on all of our PowerBank and PowerIsolator products.

Rack mount or Standalone  PIMM was designed to operate in a rack or as a standalone component. As a standalone unit, it sits on four cone-shaped isolation feet. PIMM is also super-easy to use in a rack: All connections are made at the rear of the chassis; the chassis is 2 rack spaces high with its cone-shaped feet removed; and three PIMMs fit perfectly side-by-side on a rack shelf.

Improvements  Throughout its product line, Transparent is constantly striving to improve on its past achievements. In this case, PIMM represents some exciting upgrades over our PowerLink XL. PIMM provides top-level isolation and protection for two components rather than one; PIMM features a detachable Powerlink MM power cord rather than a captive cord; and the PIMM was developed to be rack-friendly, to work effortlessly in even the most complex systems. Recommended Uses  For truly high performance systems we recommend using PowerIsolator MMs with every component, to isolate components from each other and from other noise sources on your AC line. Although intended for use with the PowerLink MM or XL power cords, PowerIsolator MM will improve the performance of an audio component using a built-in power cord or any other detachable power cord. The PowerIsolator MM chassis creates a complete shield around the AC signal path and the PowerIsolator network inside provides wide band noise isolation in a totally transparent manner. The PowerLink MM power cord is 2 meters long and is fitted with an RF-noise inhibiting network.

International  PowerIsolator MM is available for U.S., British, European and other electrical systems.

Custom Rack Shelf  Transparent also offers a custom rack shelf that will allow up to 3 PIMMs to be bolted to the shelf for a secure and vibration-free installation.

Line Upgrades  We have developed this new technology to provide the cleanest and most stable power possible from wall outlets in residential and commercial structures. To get the full performance potential from PowerIsolator MM, have your electrician install hospital-grade receptacles in your wall outlet boxes, and if possible, a dedicated AC line.
